Canal Boat Light Parade Birmingham 2005

Sunday 20th November 2005
Over 20 boats decked in Christmas lights paraded from the NIA to the Mailbox in front of a huge crowd. Boats included entries from Birmingham Canal Navigation Society, British Waterways, The Rep Theatre (Wizard of Oz), Brindleyplace, BBC Radio WM, (Carl Chinn, Mollie Green, Daz Hale, Lord Mayor John Hood) Panama Bar, The Old Rep (Kensuke's Kingdom), Crescent Theatre (Pinocchio), County Air Ambulance, and private entries. The prize for the best decorated boat was awarded to Noah's Ark owned by Alan Green. The event ended with fireworks on the roof of the Hyatt Hotel.
