Think you can match the achievements of Team GB? Perhaps the way to do it is via a bit of DIY.
That is what Polycell are hoping to encourage, they have created a unique gold medal to help celebrate the DIY efforts of the nation.
Four out of five men say they feel underappreciated by their partners following a DIY job, despite the fact that 92 per cent of women say they are attracted to men who are good at DIY.
Polycell say that ten per cent of chaps have never done any DIY in their home, amounting to 2.4 million people.
They have commissioned jewellery designers to create the medals and reward the UK’s DIY enthusiasts.
Samantha Balloch, Polycell, said: “Far from being underappreciated, DIYers should be recognised, rewarded and celebrated. Hopefully the release of these unique gold medals will help to inspire the next generation of handymen (and women) to take pride in doing a proper job.”
To win one of the medals all you need to do is visit Polycell’s Facebook page and post an image of your completed DIY task, which will be judged and rewarded by the IDC (International Decoration Committee).
